My name is James Beasley and it is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the new Assistant Principal of Center Intermediate School. I am truly humbled and honored to accept this new role, and I look forward to working with each of you as we strive to advance the achievements of all students.
I am entering my thirteenth year in education, and I will confess that I learn something new every year. During my twelve years as a science teacher I have seen firsthand the importance of developing positive relationships with my students. As your new Assistant Principal I look forward to continuing this practice with all teachers, students, staff, and the community at large.
My wife and I have been married for 24 years and we have two boys. Matthew who is 18 and Joshua who is 17. Our oldest son is currently attending Panola Junior College and Joshua is a senior this year at Elysian Fields. I will admit that they grow up fast, so spend as much time with your families as you can.
Prior to my time in education I was an Army Engineer for 20 plus years where I learned the value of serving our country by serving others. I am grateful for the opportunities that God gave me to serve our nation during times of peace and war. My interactions with multiple cultures from around the world is what drove me to become an educator after retirement.
Some of my hobbies include playing golf, fishing, and gardening.
In closing, I would like for you to know that I am here for you and the students of Center Intermediate School. My role as a servant leader is very important to who I am as a person, and I look forward to a great 2019 – 2020 school year.
